Brand new unit ticks the boxes for bespoke packaging company

A 196 sq m (2,100 sq ft) new-build, light industrial unit with integral office at Kingfisher Court, Hinchingbrooke Business Park in Huntingdon has been let to a company specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke packaging, confirms PAI member Barker Storey Matthews who acted for the landlord in the instruction.

Innovative Packaging Concepts Ltd (IPC Ltd) is the inaugural tenant of Unit 3 at Kingfisher Court which, together with its companion development at Hinchingbrooke Business Park, Falcon Court, have been developed by Barnack Estates Ltd.

Previously based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire where the management ran a successful carton design company, IPC Ltd was borne out of the original company’s growth and its extension in to manufacture in addition to design.

Andy Norton, Managing Director, Innovative Packaging Concepts Ltd explains, “The move to our brand new premises at Kingfisher Court enables us to accommodate both the design and manufacturing operations of our business.

“The brand new unit is ideal as we’ve not inherited a legacy of previous use and have a layout which suits our specific needs.  Kingfisher Court is a well laid out site of just eight units set within the more established Hinchingbrooke Business Park.

“Huntingdon is a thriving town for business and is in an excellent position for road links to supply throughout the country as well as for our workforce who give us a wide range of skills on which we can call.”

Innovative Packaging Concepts Ltd’s verdict on Kingfisher Court echoes that of its other occupiers, according to Richard Adam, Director, Barker Storey Matthews who is overseeing the agent’s instructions at both Kingfisher and Falcon Courts.

He said, “Demand for industrial units in the Huntingdon area is commensurate with the prosperity of indigenous companies, as well as those - such as IPC Ltd -who are looking to come to the area for the first time to take advantage of good transport links and the established light industrial commercial profile of the town and surrounding area.”
