A tripartite property deal in which PAI member Barker Storey Matthews acted as joint agent for the head leaseholder sees Peterborough-based, Coloplast UK take just under 70,000 sq ft of additional commercial space in the city while its new facility is under construction at Roxhill’s Gateway development.
Six units at Manasty Road in the Orton Southgate commercial district of Peterborough will provide the healthcare sector manufacturer with the interim space as the sub-tenant.
The three year sub-lease on Units 1-6 Manasty Road was negotiated by Barker Storey Matthews under instruction from the current tenant, Mapeley Steps Ltd, with an institutional property fund as the freeholder.
Julian Welch of Barker Storey Matthews’ Peterborough office said, “Very little space of this size and type is available in Peterborough. We are, therefore, pleased to have been able to assist Coloplast by offering this space to them on a flexible basis in order to meet their short term needs.
“The deal agreed is to the mutual benefit of all parties, who worked closely together to ensure a positive outcome to the transaction.”
