Kendal office building sold freehold

Peill & Co, PAI member for Cumbria, the Lake District and Lancashire, has sold the freehold interest of an office building on Ann Street in Kendal to a charitable trust, who intend to hold the property as an investment.

Peill & Co acted for the outdoor equipment supplier Lowe Alpine, who are relocating their office and showroom function in Kendal to new premises which have also been acquired by Peill & Co.

The premises on Ann Street, which extend to a total of approximately 6,600 sq ft was sold at an asking price of £750,000, were historically the headquarters of Lowe Apline & Europa Sports, and was acquired by Lowe Alpine parent company Equip Outdoor Technologies when they purchased the business some years ago.

Kendal and the surrounding area is an increasingly popular location for outdoor equipment and clothing suppliers with representation from companies such as Patagonia, The North Face, Alpkit, Paramo, Columbia, Mountain Hardware and Lowe Alpine and RAB.
