New gym coming to uphill Lincoln

PAI members Banks Long & Co are delighted to announce that Pure Gym are coming to the Carlton Centre, Lincoln occupying the former Argos Unit within the Carlton Centre, the largest commercial and shopping destination to the north of Lincoln City Centre, with over 10,000 people living within easy walking distance who will benefit from this new gym.
The development owned by Lincolnshire Coop and managed by Banks Long & Co is seeing lots of active retailers in the area with more exciting announcements to come.  Current occupiers within the retail park include The Pet Vet, Dunelm Mill, Halfords, Pets at Home, Boots, McDonalds and Costa.  Carlton Centre is getting stronger and provides an excellent out of town retail centre, supported by the large residential catchment in the area.
Lewis Cove, Associate Director of Banks Long & Co, said, "Pure Gym adds to the Centre’s diverse offering at the Carlton Centre and it’s a pleasure to welcome another strong occupier to the area."
Duncan Costin, Pure Gym said “Pure Gym are delighted to be opening our second Lincoln site in the former Argos at The Carlton Centre. This 11,500 sqft gym will offer members the very latest state of the art gym equipment including free weights, fixed pin, functional and flex areas and group exercise classes in our studio. We’d like to thank Paul Norbury of Norbury Sansom who acted for us in this acquisition and the team at Banks Long who acted for the Landlord, The Lincolnshire Co-operative Society for making this happen”.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Head of Property Kevin Kendall said: “This development reflects our core purpose and approach - investing in the local economy and the health and wellbeing of the community.
“Pure Gym is an excellent addition to the area and we hope local people will enjoy the new facilities on offer.”

This will be Pure Gym’s second site in Lincoln, the other being located within St Marks Shopping Centre. Pure Gym are committed to bringing high quality, affordable gyms to everyone, everywhere. We do this by keeping our prices, low, making it as easy to leave as it is to join, opening our gyms night and day and providing our members with the support and inspiration they need where and when they need it.
